This is a traditional hold where baby is facing into momma (or daddy) legs are spread out around the wearers abdomen and their bottom is scooped deep in the pocket.  It is best to have the outside of the pouch pulled all the way up to the base of the babies neck for added support.  This hold will work with little ones 4 months to toddler.
This position is great while baby is awake or asleep and is optimal for moving into a nursing position quickly and easily by sliding their legs to the side and dropping their head down.  This hold will work while baby is awake or asleep!

This hold will work well with baby from about 2 months- 8 months and can even work as they get older just rotate their legs from front to side for extra room for those growing babies.  In this hold the babies legs are "criss cross" in front of them and the outside of the pouch is pulled up to their chest.  They are in a perfect position for looking out into the world while still being in the safety of their mommas hold.  This hold is excellent for Christmas light viewing or nature walking too! This position is great while baby is awake and is optimal for moving into a reverse cradle nursing position quickly and easily by sliding their legs to the side and dropping their head down.

This hold will work well with baby from about 8 months- Toddler.  Baby sits firmly on your hip with the outside of the pouch pulled up to the top of their back (just below their neck).  Their legs are out and wrapped around the wearers body and their bottom is deep in the pocket of the pouch.  This is a very comfortable for both momma and daddy.  As the child gets to be about 2 years
(24months) the pouch can be used in this same position as a harness rather than a pocket.  This hold will work when baby is awake or asleep!

 Cradle Hold

This is an excellent hold for newborns to about 7 months depending on your babies size.  When using with a newborn, some women prefer

to add a receiving blanket under the baby to prop them up a little.  This position allows for nursing privacy or sleeping privacy for the little one!

ReverseCradle

This is my personal favorite hold with a newborn to about 6 months.  In this position their head can be out little for freedom to look around or can be tucked into the fabric.

 Back Pack

This hold will work well with baby from about 10 months- Toddler.  In this hold, the wearer begins with the baby in the hip hold position and then rotates the pouch (with baby inside) under their arm and around to their back.  It is best to try this one at home a few times before trying at the beach!  Babies bottom is deep inside

the pocket and the outside of the pouch is pulled up to the top of their back.  No need to hold on to your little one as they ride piggy back style.  This hold is excellent for daddy's, plus your little one will love being able to see over daddy's shoulder!  This hold is great while baby is awake
